He's So Embarrassing

Hey Pals, Randy here. With Valentines day quickly approaching I wanted to do my part to remind everyone of what not to do when you take that special someone out to the fancy wine bar.

Jim Giar, I'm looking at you.

Unevenly Spread

HA look at us getting work around good ol' Cleveland!
For me, I just did the cover for Cleveland's Scene Magazine.  I found myself with the opportunity and the time to illustrate a phenomenal article by Sam Allard.  Check it out here.

Brite Winter 2014

Hey pals, Randy here and I'd like to formally announce that the Rust Belt Monster Collective will be painting at Brite Winter this year!  We'll be inside the Great Lakes tasting room, indoors, where it's warm.

I did some promotional artwork for the event featuring Fluri, a fun loving yeti I designed last year. If you're in the Ohio City area you've probably seen the black poster around. It was designed by Thomas Fox, who did a bang up job making me look better than I have any right to.

The poster below is an alternate design by myself, and from my understanding they'll both be available at the event.

It's a great event , and we hope to to see you all out there as we come out of hibernation with our first action painting of 2014!

Quick Little Spidey Doodle

It's been awhile since I posted anything here (or any where). I've been pretty busy (like everyone else), but I'm going to work on changing that, starting with this little doodle.

Ben: Watch Me Dance!

Guess who's back?!  I've slowly come back into the light after braving what was the most eventful year of my life.  Getting married, a ton of home renovations, and my artistic achievements all seem like a distant memory with the birth of my daughter on December 31st.  So with fatherhood added to my resume and real life coming back into the fold, I've started focusing on the areas that I want to improve.  First step, practicing character animation.  The above is a quick test created in Toon Boom Animate Pro.  This was a lot of fun and I'm hoping to dive deeper into the program soon.

As always, you can follow me at my personal blog: www.needyourdisease.com or on Twitter at NeedYourDisease

Back In The Day

Hey Pals, Randy here.  I'm trying my best to share my world with my daughter as much as possible, so it's only natural the first dinosaur I drew for her room would be listening to a boom box.  Besides, If "Put your hands in the air and wave em like you just dont care" isn't solid dad advice, I dunno what is.

If you've got kids, or you're dinosaur enthusiast, I put the image on shirts and stickers.  Stay cool all my buddies.

Komrades!

Working hard already in 2014 on a logo suite for Cleveland's great, Syncopated Sin Swing band so I thought I would share something from The Stew Pot.
This shirt design was done a while back for a friend of mine's brand new restaurant in beautiful downtown Akron, OH.   Perfect place to stop by with all the cold weather we've had lately...just saying.  All vector, actually my last piece done in Freehand MX (which I miss to this day).  It's a style I'll be coming back to later on this year so keep your eyes out!

ZAP!

Hey pals, Randy here. Over the holiday I updated my personal website, www.randycrider.com and realized just how many things I've forgotten to share with my rust belt pals. So, here's a drawing of Mr and Mrs. Stein to start the new year of diligent sharing.
